Gin was never evil.
GIN WAS NEVER FUCKING EVIL.
Holy fuck do I feel vindicated right about now.
This sort of kills any remaining Gin/Kira muse I had, BUT GIN/RAN IS CANNON NOW, SO I CAN DEAL.
Becase Gin- Gin you absolutely magnificant bastard you,
HE DID IT ALL FOR RANGIKU
But God- But- But KUBO. KUBO YOU FUCKING BASTARD. YOU GAVE ME EVERYTHING I WANTED IN THIS CHAPTER, BUT EVERYTHING I DIDN'T, TOO.
Gin is not dead. Until it's confirmed, it was one sword stroke and that's it. He wasn't previously injured.leave me in my bubble
I CAN'T GET OVER THIS, GUYS.
I keep fucking tearing up, thinking about everything Gin had to do. He had to pretend to be an evil fucker and stay on Aizen's good side. HE HAD TO PUSH RANGIKU AWAY TO KEEP HER SAFE. HE COULD NEVER BE WITH HER LIKE HE WANTED.
That's why he sent Izuru to attack Rangiku. To keep her safe away from the the fight. And, possibly, to keep Izuru away, too. Because if he never was evil, then he wouldn't have wanted to kill Izuru. He knew Aizen was going to kill Momo, or attempt too, and that he would probably be expected to do the same with Izuru. So he sent him away.
A lot of us have assumed Gin likes to kill, I think, from the fact that he killed the 3rd seat in cold blood. Let me ask you; did we ever see the third seat's face? Because if it was one of those guys in the circle that hurt Rangiku...
Gin's life... It's been tragic if he's had to pretend to be this emotionless snake all to keep Rangiku safe and wait for this moment. I mean, he probably does enjoy fucking with people a little too much, but then everyone likes to play; Gin just takes it a little far sometimes.
I don't think Gin helped in Izuru's transformation from happy acamedy student to how he is as a lieutenant, anymore, either. I'm going to stick with my theory that Izuru wanted to be fourth but found out what Wabisuke does and freaked a little, thinking that was his soul, and reacted a little badly to finding out he wasn't suited to healing.
Of course, Gin's playful nature wouldn't lend him well to doing paperwork, so that's not going to help Izuru's nerves/disposition, either XD
Fucking hell, Kubo, what you can reveal with a simple flashback.
I know there are probably a lot of people disappointed that Gin didn't turn out to be this heartless bastard who fucks with people for the hell of it, BUT I COULDN'T BE HAPPIER.
Guuuuuh, Gin, I- You leave me speechless, as always.
Now excuse me while I go cry about the tradegy that Gin, and Gin/Ran in particular, is

The ISSUES with Kira trying to come to terms with his assholery for her! Harboring misplaced affections because she comforted him post!betrayal/Momo! DEALING with things! THE TRAUMA. :D

Date: 2010-08-06 05:26 pm (UTC)There were a few moments though I didn't get. But overall it was very insightful and now we finally got a better idea of Gin. *g*
And I am with you and hope that he is NOT dead. No, no. Not allowed to!
